The role of the Vrbo performance team is to optimize Vrbo's business results by monitoring key business metrics, identifying opportunities for improvements, recommending changes to investment profiles, and coordinating execution across functional teams The manager of Vrbo performance will play a key role in owning the relationship with Expedia's Media Solutions group (ads on Expedia), Vrbo Brand Marketing & Media, and other initiatives like pricing optimization.

This will include providing detailed performance insights, strategic recommendations, and coordination across all the relevant contributing areas supporting the implementation of our business initiatives end to end. The manager will enable execution and strategy from kick-off to completion and until tangible business impact is delivered. You will also support senior management by delivering comprehensive views on overall business trends and priorities. This requires an individual that is curious, fearless, able to dive headfirst into data and develop data-driven insights. You will have regular and frequent interaction with senior leadership across the organization, and will need to maintain strong alignment and partnerships with key departments and businesses to ensure that the overall Vrbo business is well planned, understood, communicated and effectively executed. The role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Vrbo Performance in Austin, TX.

What you'll do:

  • Drive program management, strategy, reporting, and analysis for key performance levers at Vrbo including Expedia Media Solutions Group, Brand, and pricing
  • Develop data-driven insights that develop analytics frameworks and foundations to enable easy actionable insights and decision making
  • Develop business insights and help influence key stakeholders with data-driven decision making
  • Provide business analysis for key initiatives designed to achieve short-term financial goals and long-term business strategies. Develop detailed financial, planning and performance evaluation models for ongoing business and strategic options
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to analyze key performance indicators and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide key analytical support to senior leadership on highly complex or unusual business problems
  • Perform systematic industry research and analysis to highlight category trends and key competitive issues and opportunities.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Data Analytics, Econ, MBA, or similar)
  • 4-7+ years of experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions. You can take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line
  • Ability to succinctly synthesize findings; excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships across a matrix of functional teams in large organization
  • Strong bias for action and sense of ownership
  • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SQL, other analytics tools, data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio)
